Interpretation of The dream I live in

Allusion-Makes reference to the stereotype of most black men
Tone-Serious,
Figurative Language-Personification
Theme-As a black male you aren’t born with most equal chances as others.(Opinion)
Interpretation-This poem makes reference to a black male and how his chances of success in American  will be made harder due to the color of his skin.

The Dream I Live In

A world without borders so they say
No limitations,no setbacks nothing in our way
A false image instilled in our head
The chase of an American dream well for most of you that is a dream that lies dead
were not all equal we don’t have the same upbringings, same gifts nor talents
the color of ones skin brings upon much malice
to want and to need are two different things
an equal opportunity for you will never come, for you are a black man a lover of the sun
a dream that is lost, a battle never to be won,you wont never achieve until you realize that what you are upon.
You are expected to fail and never to succeed but the american dream is a chase which isnt to long or too big for me.

Interpretation of I dream a world

Allusion-None
Tone-Hopeful,
Figurative Language-Personification
Theme-Ones color shouldn’t determine there opportunities in life,we should live in a world where every man is equal, where ever man is free,a world where there are now limitations.
Interpretation-I personally like this poem, this poem reinterprets once again Langston Hughes view on equality and his desires to live in a word with equality and freedom without racism.

I dream a world

I dream a world where man
No other man will scorn,
Where love will bless the earth
And peace its paths adorn.
I dream a world where all
Will know sweet freedom's way,
Where greed no longer saps the soul
Nor avarice blights our day.
A world I dream where black or white,
Whatever race you be,
Will share the bounties of the earth
And every man is free,
Where wretchedness will hang its head
And joy, like a pearl,
Attends the needs of all mankind--
Of such I dream, my world
